Another aspect to being a make up artist is working on Commercial Photo Shoots. They are always lovely and great fun to be a part of, especially when working with a great team. I was delighted to be working on the launch of the Autumn Winter 2016 collection from Chicago Jewels. This is my third shoot with the fabulous range from Chicago Marcasite Jewellery .
The Morgan Hotel Dublin proved to be the perfect setting for this photo shoot. This boutique hotel had a unique, electric vibe with its fun styling and decor, ideal for a photo shoot. The hotel suite we worked in was big, bright and spacious with the perfect natural daylight for make up application.
We really had lots of fun and plenty of giggles with our beautiful model Nuala Courtney. She really was the perfect model, this was Nuala’s first big photo shoot and she was a complete professional in front of the camera. The photos turned out fantastic and really showcase Nuala’s bubbly personality.
For Nuala’s make up, I had an easy job. Her skin was just beautiful and really well looked after, the moisture and condition was fabulous to work on. With the help of my favourite skin prep product my trusted Pestle & Mortar Moisturiser, we got a fabulous dewy glow onto Nuala’s skin.
She has beautiful big blue eyes, which we focused on and with the help of a soft cream eye pencil applied along the water line and followed by a brown eye liner smoked out on top and underneath her eyes, this really helped the blue in her eyes really pop out.
I love lashes so of course we applied some subtle short individual lashes which added a lovely glam feel to the overall look.
I love the soft & pretty bronzed, sun kissed look on Nuala’s cheeks with the perfect highlighted glow and a nice soft lip to compliment the styling.
The styling for this shoot was just perfection. Styling Accessories was Rita & Maxine from Chicago Jewels, the jewellery is elegant, classic and timeless and the pieces are one to really treasure, I was swooning over some of the new pieces throughout the day. A beautiful classic addition to compliment any outfit.
Wardrobe stylist was one of my Fave’s Brendan Courtney, Nuala’s son. He was so much fun to be around and a real gentleman. All the stunning outfits featured on Nuala for the photo shoot are from the Autumn Winter 2016 LennonCourtney For Dunnes Stores collection now also available in stores. We were all blown away by the beautiful pieces that were in the collection. The range is really classic, flattering and top quality that would be a welcome addition to any lucky ladies wardrobe.
If you check out Brendan’s Facebook page there are some Facebook live behind the scenes footage from the shoot.
Photographer on the day was John Duffy, I have worked with John in the past for commercial shoots and also for weddings, I am always impressed with his work, his lovely assistant Claire was on hand throughout the day making sure everything ran smoothly.
