I have such lovely memories from the wedding morning of beautiful bride Noelle.
When I first arrived I was completely blown away by the stunning views, I set up my make up area in front of a big bright window in the family kitchen and had the most stunning view of Graighnamanagh throughout the morning, with the most perfect natural lighting. This is an element of my job I love, every week brings new towns, villages & areas and I get to take see the natural beauty in our lovely countryside. I have often pulled in to admire a beautiful scenic view while on my car journeys to and from bridal destinations.
Photographer Daniel of Dkphoto was in the background throughout the morning taking photos of all the morning prep, I often meet Daniel as the photographer at weddings and his photos are always stunning, he has a creative eye for detail.
For Noelle’s bridal make up, I created a flawless skin base, with subtle contouring and a nice pop of peachy colour to the cheeks to add warmth to the face. To enhance and bring out her eye colour I used a mix of champagnes, greys and browns to create a soft smoky eye. In keeping with the bridesmaids colour scheme which was a Deep shade of wine/ burgandy, a stunning shade that I incorporated into Noelle’s make up by adding a pop of colour to the lips it worked perfectly.
Naturally Noelle was a little nervous on her wedding morning, one of my main aims is to help my brides relax and ensure that the bride is enjoying her wedding morning to. Throughout the make up application for the bride, I like to create as calm and relaxed environment as possible, generally some quiet time to relax and breath a little before the excitement of the rest of the day unfolds. A little glass of bubbles always helps to take the edge of and calm any nerves.
On the morning, I was working alongside hair stylist Catriona from the Hair & Beauty Chalet, she did a superb job on the hair styles.
As always there was lots of giggles, fun and excitement throughout the morning, look at that stunning view!
I adored this colour combination, the richness of the bridesmaid dresses with the soft pastel colours in the flowers everything worked perfectly together. Noelle wore a stunning white wedding dress with pretty lace & beaded details, she had the matching pop of colour on her lips and nails to match in to the colour scheme.
It was so lovely to be a part of this beautiful wedding morning. Thank you Noelle for sharing these images with me, I was thrilled to be a part of your wedding morning.
Some kind words I received from Noelle:
“Hi Karen I cannot thank you enough for the amazing job you did on the morning of my wedding my make up was flawless, I felt like a million dollars. My mam & sister in law looked glamorous & my bridesmaids were just beautiful. My make up was perfect and in place through a day of kisses, hugs, tears of joy & dancing. You were such a joy to have around on the morning of my wedding. You were calm, friendly & very easy to chat to & most of all you helped keep my nerves at bay. Thank you so much for being a part of my wedding day, you made sure my make up & dress were perfect before I left for the church. Thank you for all the advice you had given me since the day I booked, right up to the wedding day. I cannot thank you or recommend you enough you are a true professional at what you do.
I hope you enjoyed this post, as always I love sharing a little insight into my brides.
