I am so delighted to share this stunning December wedding morning with you all.
Elaine & I giving the VIP treatment to one of the bridesmaids
I had such beautiful picturesque views of Kilkenny city from the window where I set up my make up station in the bridal suite of the well known Langtons hotel Kilkenny with The perfect stream of light for me to work on throughout the morning.
Throughout the bridal preparations for Sarah’s wedding morning, I was working alongside Hair stylist Elaine Murphy, as usual she did a superb job.
Such a fabulous bridal party, Bride Sarah thought of everything with lots of pretty little touches which added to the day.
Sarah wanted a natural but classic & pretty bridal look, and I loved creating this look for her. For all my brides, I always aim not to make them look different, rather to just enhance their natural beauty, and to ensure they look like the best possible version of themselve.
I used shades of champagne & subtle brown tones to give Sarah a soft smoky eye, which really emphasised and brought out the unique blue in her eyes. Her eyes really shone on the day. As her beautiful wedding dress was so pretty & girly, I complimented this with a soft pink blush on the cheeks and a lovely rose pink on the lips, to give an overall pretty, girly & feminine feel to the make up. She really looked like the beautiful bride.
The finishing touches
My serious concentration face, I always stay with my bridal parties until everyone is fully ready for the ceremony. Once dressed I check everyones make up, top up the lipsticks and ensure everyone is happy. As you can see here I am double checking everything is perfect for Sarah just before she leaves for her wedding ceremony.
This part of the morning is one of my favourite times, the buzz and excitement that sets in once everything has come together, generally this is the first time the bride will see her entire wedding look all together and it suddenly all becomes very real and so exciting.
I love being a part of it all.
The newlyweds xx
